On Saturday 26th of May 2018 the referendum to remove The Eighth Amendment resulted in a resounding 'Yes'.
“Journeys of the Eighth is a piece which illustrates the effects which this legislation has had on Irish society. But now, The Eighth has been repealed and Ireland will no longer force it's citizens abroad for health care - the cycle is broken, and so, the threads will be cut.” -Megan Kelly
The results of the referendum marked a historic day for Ireland. The release of the results coincided with the opening of the Creative Digital Media Degree Show and on that day a new piece was created.
What began as Journeys of the Eighth became No More Journeys of the Eighth.
